What is plastic packaging?

Plastic packaging means using plastic packaging. Plastic is a synthetic or natural polymer resin as the main material. A type of material that is malleable under certain temperature and pressure with the addition of various auxiliaries and can be fixed in shape after cooling.

Natural or synthetic polymer resin molecules in the melting state, and around the uniform distribution of additives molecules of the process called plasticization, has reached this process is called plasticized, has not reached, is considered not plasticized. Plastic packaging is one of the four major materials in the packaging industry: paper and board account for 30%, plastic 25%, metal 25%, glass 15%.

Key Features

The main characteristics of plastics are:

First, the density is small, the specific strength is high, you can get a higher rate of packaging, that is, "unit mass package volume or package area size.

Second, most plastics have good chemical resistance, good acid resistance, alkali resistance, resistance to all kinds of organic solvents, long-term placement, no oxidation.

Third, it is easy to form, and the energy consumption of forming is lower than that of steel and other metal materials.

Fourth, it has good transparency and easy coloring.

Fifth, it has good strength, high strength performance per unit weight, impact resistance and easy modification.

Sixth, low processing cost.

Seventh, excellent insulation.

Classification and Characteristics

Plastic bags can be divided into OPP, CPP, PP, PE, PVA, EVA, composite bag, co-extrusion bag and so on.

OPP plastic bag:

Features: Hard, unchanged after pulling. Unstretched (double-stretched) single piece folded in half, edge seal welded, maximum length not exceeding 640m/m. The single piece is 1.28M long and 0.6M wide.

Pros: Good transparency.

Disadvantages: Easy to tear the seal on both sides.

Polypropylene plastic bag: Polypropylene polypropylene

Characteristics: Hardness is lower than OPP, can be stretched (two-way stretching) after pulling into a triangle, bottom seal or edge seal (envelope bag), cylinder material. Transparency is worse than OPP.

PE plastic bag: Polyethylene polyethylene

Features: Formalin, slightly less transparent.

HDPE: High density and low pressure polyethylene High density polyethylene feel crisp, used for making bag.

LDPE: Low density polyethylene has soft feel.

PVA plastic bag: Vinylon

Characteristics: Eco-friendly material, will dissolve in water. Domestic production of this raw material, are imported from Japan, the price is expensive, in foreign applications.
Advantages, soft and transparent, no pollution.

CPP plastic bag:

Characteristics: Non-toxic, recompound, better transparency than PE, slightly less hardness. After pulling, it will grow out, soft texture, with the transparency of PP and the softness of PE.

Composite bag:

Features: Strong edge seal, printable, ink will not fall off.

Co-extrusion bag:

Features: Good transparency, soft texture, printable.
